Nswe’ogen

Literally meaning “three poles,” the nswe'ogen is a winter dwelling used by the Neshnabek [Potawatomi, Odawa and Ojibwe]. Similar in style and shape to the tipi of the Plains, the nswe'ogen is a conical-shaped structure with center wooden supports covered in bark harvested from the birch, cedar and basswood tree.
